Community Development Resources (CDR) is a Non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide capital, technical assistance, and training opportunities for small business in the State of Nebraska. CDR lends to start-up and existing businesses that have a viable business plan to create or maintain businesses.

CDR is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified under the U.S. Treasury Department’s Community Development Financial institution Fund, dedicated to, and whose core purpose is, providing financial products and services to people and communities underserved by traditional financial markets. Community Development Resources seeks to bridge the growing gap that exists between the loans and services available to the economic mainstream and those offered to low- income persons and communities, as well as the non-profit institutions and businesses that serve them.

A CDFI may include a community development loan fund, credit union, bank, microenterprise fund, corporation- based lender, or venture fund.

Community Development Resources is also a Community Development Corporation (CDC) which furthers its mission by serving as a critical role in addressing issues of poverty and access to credit in economically disadvantaged communities by providing development services or technical assistance along with the loans and investments they make for community and economic projects.
